Hey everyone,

Just a quick update wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year (This will probably be my journal entry until next June)! :D

On this year's Christmas List, among other things that are aimed at people decidedly younger than me, are Sonic 4 and the Back To The Future game! BTTF is already installed on my Steam account and it's taking a LOT of willpower not to have a peek. Makes me think of Christmas past, where the anticipation was much higher than it is now that I'm (apparently) grown up.

I might ask for a boxed Mega-CD next year and re-enact Christmas 1993. Even though my original is STILL alive and well. 17 years old and fully operational... Microsoft, please take note :D

Have a good one everyone!

Due to an enormous amount of preparation for my FMP presentation, end of year show and a few other things i've decided I can't take the time to go to the Bristol Comic Con again this year. :( This is also partially due to illness, which has flung itself upon me at the last minute when I really need to be 100% active and driven to completing everything to the best of my abilities.

I'll be posting some game-related stuff on here after the presentation on Monday is over. The reason I haven't been uploading anything recently is because working on the game has literally consumed all of my time since March.

Today i'll be finishing the game itself with any luck, and tomorrow i'll be doing ANOTHER Powerpoint presentation, while also putting together my Steampunk outfit for Monday/End of Year Show in June.

I haz a bowler hat, metal goggles, brown pinstripe trousers, waistcoat, pocket watch, 1890s high-collar shirt and cane :D Need to sort out a tie/cravat and some shoes, which i've JUST remembered I still don't have. Argh!

Just wondering if anyone I know around here is planning on going to the Bristol Comic Expo this year. :)

Looks to me like it's changed venue from the last time I was there (which, admittedly, was a long time ago!). In the past i've gone to see other DA artists just as much as I have to look at the indie comics/stuff to buy/advice on jobs. Let me know of any of you guys are interested in meeting up!

Hey guys,

Just thought i'd let some of the more regular visitors know that i'm transferring some of my work to a seperate account. Look at RichMorgan for Uni-related, Steampunk, 3D and concept work from now on.

I've had this profile for a long time and i'll still be using it (sentimental fool that I am), but I felt that for networking reasons I should tidy up a little and have a more professional account on DeviantArt.

So, for those who are interested, head to :iconrichmorgan: to see more of me. Everyone is welcome, come on over and help make me feel popular. :D

Just a city boy... with Journey stuck in his head courtesy of dan-Yuill. Thanks bro. It's now the theme of our final year in Uni for me. :P

Got a TON of stuff on at the moment. Second stage Final Project presentation for University due in ten days (ish), a website design for next week and i've got to make my way up to Leamington Spa on friday. I was offered an invitation to an open day at Blitz Game Studios! :D I'm also perpetually working on the final project itself of course and i've started going to Life Drawing classes again because, y'know, I don't do enough work as it is.

The Final Project is going resonanbly well - got loads of functionality issues sorted and this week my tutors have allowed me to be creative again. Thanks for throwing the artist a bone, guys.

Progress on the project can be seen on my blog: www.steampunkracer.blogspot.co… . I'll apologise in advance for the tech-talk and meandering thoughts but it wasn't really meant for public viewing. Still, for anyone who might be interested, it's there and don't worry, there are pictures too!

I also got my Mega-CD back from Mr Higley's house today (we were playing Streets of Rage for project research last year and it kinda stayed at his place). Carrying that, plus all the wires and an even older Megadrive on your back up the steepest hills in Swansea is harder than any workout you'll ever do. It was like lugging around an early 90s-themed proton pack. Exceptionally cool and retro chic, but HEAVY :P

It didn't work in the Uni Games Room which was disappointing because we couldn't tune it - I think the tutor was the most upset out of all of us by that because he's a huge fan of Sonic CD... but i'm not giving up yet. That reminds me, I need to find out if I can link a 17 year old console to a modern digital TV via SCART or RGB.

I'll use that as my excuse to procrastinate before having to make a rugby pitch and grandstand for my game :D
