Just a city boy... with Journey stuck in his head courtesy of
dan-Yuill. Thanks bro. It's now the theme of our final year in Uni for me.
Got a TON of stuff on at the moment. Second stage Final Project presentation for University due in ten days (ish), a website design for next week and i've got to make my way up to Leamington Spa on friday. I was offered an invitation to an open day at
Blitz Game Studios!
I'm also perpetually working on the final project itself of course and i've started going to Life Drawing classes again because, y'know, I don't do enough work as it is.
The Final Project is going resonanbly well - got loads of functionality issues sorted and this week my tutors have allowed me to be creative again. Thanks for throwing the artist a bone, guys.
Progress on the project can be seen on my blog:
www.steampunkracer.blogspot.co… . I'll apologise in advance for the tech-talk and meandering thoughts but it wasn't really meant for public viewing. Still, for anyone who might be interested, it's there and don't worry, there are pictures too!
I also got my Mega-CD back from Mr Higley's house today (we were playing
Streets of Rage for project research last year and it kinda stayed at his place). Carrying that, plus all the wires and an even older Megadrive on your back up the steepest hills in Swansea is harder than any workout you'll ever do. It was like lugging around an early 90s-themed proton pack. Exceptionally cool and retro chic, but HEAVY
It didn't work in the Uni Games Room which was disappointing because we couldn't tune it - I think the tutor was the most upset out of all of us by that because he's a huge fan of
Sonic CD... but i'm not giving up yet. That reminds me, I need to find out if I can link a 17 year old console to a modern digital TV via SCART or RGB.
I'll use that as my excuse to procrastinate before having to make a rugby pitch and grandstand for my game
