This has been finished for about three weeks now - it's probably time to upload it, as I have to be finished with last minute adjustments by now.
I think I don't do enough 'pure' fanart. I considered producing more a while back, but the Sonic fandom has lost it's appeal to me for the most part. However, this image provided me with enough interest and led to what you see here. I'm satisfied that not only have I produced a piece of work I am happy with, but i've proven to myself that if approached in the right way, producing art for this fandom can actually still be fun. A more detailed background (with clouds) was produced with my precious Wacom tablet, after the first attempt was a bit bland and lacked a sense of depth. A little feedback from others can transform work in progress enourmously. Thank you to ~Fruufoo for her constructive criticism and my family offline - they helped me bring a lot more life into this piece. Anyway - a 'classic' image of Sonic and Tails with the early Tornado, flying high over Mobius as the sun sets. Fan Art, pure and simple, which was challenging and fun to produce. I may do some more like this in the future. Sonic and Miles 'Tails' Prower © SEGA, Sonic Team |

That is so darned beautiful! The lighting effects are so cool around the characters and the Tornado. Those clouds are very well done as well! And the way you've drawn it all somehow reminds me of Richard Elson's style. This picture is gorgeous.
