Another birthday card image by me, this time for

, an artist friend of mine. This is the first finished pic i've done of his own character, Max Mytosis, and i'm pleased with it - judging by Rob's reaction on receiving the card, I think he was too.

This one's a bit unusual for me as the black shading was done traditionally. I never, ever block colour my hand-drawn images but Rob's style uses a lot of it so I thought i'd give it a go. It saved me a huge amount of time when it came to colouring so thanks goes to Mr Taylor for inspiring me to try something new and for enabling me to finally get some use out of my ancient fibre-tip pens.

I think my figures are improving, so spending a year in uni drawing naked guys for hours on end has had some benefit.
